In 2003, a number of driven teachers decide to turn the tide of plagiarism. This marks the start of Ephorus (‘school supervisor’ or ‘teacher’ in Greek). 

Ephorus rapidly grows to become the market leader in Europe, led by the Netherlands and Norway. Schools in South America and the U.S. are also using Ephorus.  

The initiators are no longer teaching, but their commitment remains strong – nowadays, they provide presentations, introductory training and manuals. This ensures that other teachers can easily get to grips with Ephorus.
