 | What is the maximum size my document can be? |
| |
| Ephorus accepts documents up to a maximum file size of 25MB. ZIP files can have a maximum size of 8MB. |
|
 | The status of the submitted document hasn’t changed; what’s wrong? |
| | When submitting a document to Ephorus, the first thing that will be seen is an icon with two grey arrows. This means the document is being checked for similarities. In order to check whether the status has changed, it is necessary to refresh the page. This can be done by clicking this icon.
Please note: refreshing is not done automatically |
|
 | How can I submit various different documents at the same time? |
| | | Ephorus can process uploads of multiple documents at the same time. This can be done via the ‘ZIP upload’ link in the ‘Upload’ section. Place the documents in a flat ZIP file with no internal folders and enter a title for the ZIP.The documents from the ZIP will be placed in a separate folder in your inbox. The title you provided is the name of the folder. |
|
 | Can I remove documents too? |
| | Yes, it is possible to remove documents from your inbox, but not from the database. You can remove documents by clicking the ‘remove’ icon in the inbox at the ‘My documents’ section. Please note: the visibility will not be changed. |
|
 | Can I have a document checked twice, for example after revision by a student? |
| | | Yes, this is possible. However, the document will be compared to the previous version (Ephorus does not differentiate between different documents). The results of the original document can be deselected in the report overview.Another possibility is to make the original document invisible by using the ‘eye’ icon in the inbox. This way, the document will not be compared with the original. |
|
 | What do students need to know to enable them to hand in work via Ephorus? |
| | | Students only need to know the hand-in code. This code will ensure the work ends up with the right teacher. |
|
 | What is a hand-in code and how do I get one? |
| | Students use the hand-in code to hand in their documents to Ephorus (via the Intranet of your educational institute). The hand in code can be your email address or a subject code from the study guide, for example. Teachers can request a hand in code in their ‘My account’ section; the Key User distributes the hand in codes. |
|
 | Is it possible to search for uploaded documents? |
| | | Yes, it is. Ephorus has created a search option in the ‘My documents’ section. To access the search page, just click the ‘magnifying glass’ icon and enter (part of) a title to find the document you’re after. |
